As a lot of my friends are sending their children off to begin a new school year and others are beginning their homeschool year, I want to offer a different perspective.
It's a place where children learn through the natural flow of life.
It's free from teaching to the test and testing of any form.
It's a place where we get up early when we have somewhere to be and
get up when we want to on all the other days.
It's full of interactions with people of various ages.
It's a lifestyle that allows the children to grow and learn at their own pace.
It is our home and in it you find laughter, joking, playfulness, discipline, responsibilities, exploration, discovery, passion, education and love. It's untraditional when compared to our culture's idea of education but the methods have been around since the beginning of time.
